These are the rules. they are copied from this site
Stargate Solutions Forum
1. The Golden Rule applies here, treat others as you would like to be treated. We ask that you treat all of your fellow posters with respect. Do not attack, insult, demean, or post defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, or threatening material, that which is invasive of a person's privacy or otherwise flame another. We respect and expect there may be disagreements or debates, but arguing a point is different from attacking a poster. Do not make things personal, or you will be banned.
2. In the same vein, please do not presume or assume who holds a different opinion on this or that plotline/character is a personal attack. Everyone has their favorite people, relationships, pet peeves, and biases. Someone with a different philosophy that they feel strongly about is just presenting their own perspective. If a poster disagrees with you that actor X or plotline Q, or relationship B is the best/worst thing ever, that is his/her right. These are viewpoints on a discussion board. There will be times we will all have to agree to disagree.
3. The actors, writers, directors, producers of the Stargate franchise are not here to defend themselves (As far as we know. Writer/Producer Joe Mallozzi at least was a visitor at our predecessor forum so you never can tell). But in any case, please treat the real people involved in creating the Stargate series with the same courtesy expected of fellow posters. As with other posters, do not post false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or other such material in violation of any International or United States Federal law. In other words, No Bashing!
4. Although we respect and welcome constructive criticism and critiques, we want this forum to be a comfortable place for those who still love Sci-Fi and don't think it jumped the shark long ago. Therefore posting the same negative criticisms over and over again in various threads won't be welcome or allowed. We apologize if this is aggravating to some of you, but there are many places in fandom where repetitive criticism is welcome, and we just want this forum to offer something a bit different.
5. And finally in beating this particular horse to death (a virtual horse mind you...no actual animals were harmed in the writing of these rules), many times debates have continued on (and on and on) with no new arguments/perspective ad nauseum. While we respect the many voices of forum members, when a discussion becomes a repetition of the same points again and again, the mods reserve the right to call time out and if that doesn't work, bannment will be considered.
6. Before creating a new topic of discussion, please check to make certain your topic has not already been created. It helps your fellow posters keep track of discussion and saves the mods from having to move and/or delete them later, preventing them from becoming cranky.
7. When making a new topic of discussion, please make certain the title is descriptive of its content. "Hey!!!", "Check this out!" "I have a question" or "Wow!" are NOT good titles. "Ori versus Ancients", "Chris Judge TV-Guide interview", or "Why do all the aliens speak English?" ARE good titles.
8. Please respect others copyrights. Do not post the content of entire articles in your post. Post excerpts and link to the url instead.
9. Do not post links, advertise, request links, or in any other way use our forum to enable downloads of episodes of Stargate or any other media. The sole exception is linking to a licensed site such as at Amazon or I-Tunes the latter of which is LEGAL and LICENSED to download various shows and music.
10. No SPAM! Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are forbidden on this forum. We are not interested in one/two post members running in to promote their commercial ventures. The definition of what constitutes SPAM rests in the sole discretion of the moderators, but you know who you are.
11. Because this forum does not have a spoiler tag button, use the universal method, like this:

Then add your spoler.
Or, you may use the highlight method.
Use this code:[ color=white ] [ /color] (Without the spaces)
and simply highlight to read.
Like this.
CHANGED POLICY: Season Ten for Stargate SG-1 and Season Three for Stargate Atlantis (and beyond) are subject to the spoiler policy. At the very least, label the title of the thread with a spoiler. (Obviously, threads for specific episodes are fair game to speak freely about the eps themselves, but please spoiler tag any info from later eps). The new movies are also under spoiler tags. (Star trek, stargate, ect.)
ALSO TO CLARIFY: Casting news will not be considered a spoiler. However, any specifics about characters/plot arcs for future episodes (or movies) are subject to the spoiler policy. Thanks.
12. Please do not post graphic or explicit violent or sexual avatars, pictures, signatures on the site (basically if it ain't PG rated, don't show it). They will be deleted. (See also rule number 3).
13. Consider this forum PG-13 rated in terms of language discussed. Therefore, we request explicitly violent or sexual discussions not be mentioned. There is a censor word list that is enabled. PLEASE NOTE that slash, het, etc. discussions ARE permitted here. Just keep it toned down. People who like the various pairings are used to picking up on innuendo, right?
14. Spin on Life bears no responsibility for the content of any off-site links given by members on this forum. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information presented. The posted messages express the views of the author, and not necessarily the views of this forum, its staff, its subsidiaries, or this forum's owner.
I would again like to thank Stargate Solutions Forum again, just because they are everything I wish my forum to be.
Thanks, MajorShipper
