Sam walked up to her door and stuck the key in the lock. The door swung open and she walked in. It was just like she left it, before all that. She was happy to be home, she appreciated her own world with its little things, like, Cam, Vala, and him. “General Jack O'Neill” She said out loud. “How did you know I was here?” He said, emerging from the kitchen. “I live here too ya know.” She answered him, plopping down on the couch. “You weren't the least bit worried about me? I was gone for a long time.” ”Yes, well, that’s classified, even for an ex-SGC husband.” He said, sitting down next to her. “Even a husband?”
Sam stepped into the elevator humming. Daniel was already there, she paused her humming long enough to hit a number and as the lift started, Daniel turned to her with a twinkle in his eye and asked, “Is Thor going to be doing the wedding?” “Wa...?” Sam said, turning to look at him. “What give you the idea that I an having a wedding, much less is Thor involved?” “You're humming.” Sam nodded her head, “Yeah?” Daniel waved a wedding invite at her.
MISSING SCENE: SEASON 10, UNENDING
“Col. Carter, I wish to speak to you.” Teal'c said as he walked into her office. “Sure Teal'c, what’s up?” She answered, looking up from her current project. “When I was sent back in time, you gave me this, and assured me it would not change the time line by giving it to you.” Teal'c hesitated, “You said to give it to yourself when the time was right.” “You mean my moving to Atlantis?” Sam asked “Yes.” Teal'c said, pulling a note out of his pocket and giving it to her, then promptly walking out. Sam looked after him for a moment, and then slowly opened the note he had given her. Dear Sam, I have tried to write this letter a thousand times, and even considered not writing it at all. You deserve to know, though. For the past ten years, the regs have prevented it, and we ignored it. But sitting on this ship, not being able to do anything, it keeps coming back to me, the one thing I didn't do. Remember when we were caught in the nebula, and what happened? Then dad... We really have nothing in the way, and yet we are so used to waiting, we can't tell when the time is right. That day keeps playing in my mind, if that girl hadn’t been there, our lives would have been completely different. We were prepared to tell him. Do not let the 'norm' get in your way. Heck, we define unusual everyday. As Cam put it, “It only sound strange when you hear yourself say, 'I'm trapped in a spaceship in a time dilation field.'” Even Daniel broke out of his boundaries. But I had no Jack here with me on this ship. The only one I love, and the only one absent. Trust me, I have had a lot of time to think about it, you must tell him, or you, like me, will end up an old lady without being happy. Ask him, or you will regret it for the rest of your life.
Your Friend, Col. Samantha Carter
Sam was crying as the letter slipped out of her fingers and onto the floor. She collapsed to the ground next to it, the words “Ask him” blurring in her line of vision. She didn't know how long she sat there, or what happened next, but she found herself dialing the number for the Homeworld Security, and calling up Jack's extension.
“So why did you come back?” Cam asked Sam as the team was eating lunch. “I was needed.” She answered, standing up and walking off. “I have a phone call to make.” She said over her shoulder. “Do you guys know why she came back?” Cam asked Daniel and Teal’c. “You really don’t know?” Daniel asked as Teal’c raised his signature eyebrow. “What?” He stared at them, completely unknowing. “Col. Carter has returned because she is no longer available.” Teal’c answered, and then excused himself. “Does he every give a straight answer?” “Yes. What he means is, Sam moved back because she is engaged.” Daniel answered. “As in…?” Cam asked, imitating a ring. “Yes.” “Who?” “Jack.” “As in, General Jack O’Neill?” “As in General Jack O’Neill.” Daniel confirmed. Cam whistled. Daniel nodded and left. Cam was left wondering if he would get a wedding invite.
